Very intelligent the Golden Retriever can be flat or wavy coated and any shade of gold or cream. Often used as a guide dog this affectionate breed makes the most wonderful family pet. It does shed a lot of coat and will benefit from regular grooming, I usually use a high velocity blaster to blow out any loose coat.
