The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is also one of the top 10 most popular breeds and its origin goes back several centuries. A lovely little companion dog it is really friendly and affectionate. According to the breed standard the coat should be long and silky and free from any curl with lots of feathering and totally free from any trimming. That's fine if it's a show dog but not very practical for the pet Cavalier who regularly romps through Hampshire's finest mud - that said a pet trim has been developed sported here by Jemma to help keep the coat more manageable.
